solfa
solfa is a basement club in Nakameguro, a few minutes from the station in Aobadai. It marked its 18th anniversary in September 2026 with a six-night run, which puts it among the longer-running independent rooms in the area.
Unusually for a club this size, it is three separate spaces rather than one. The main floor runs an RCF rig — TT25A tops with a TTS18A sub, a BSS processor — with CDJ-3000s and a choice of Pioneer DJM-A9 or Allen & Heath XONE:92 mixer, plus a pair of Technics SL-1200MK6 turntables. The lounge is a smaller second room with its own RCF 310As and decks, and there is a 2nd bar beyond that. On busy nights all three run at once, which is why a solfa bill often lists two sets of DJs.
The programming is genuinely broad — house and techno alongside a lot of hip hop, R&B and bass music, and plenty of live acts. It is one of the few rooms in Tokyo that comfortably runs an early evening party and an all-nighter on the same day.
