NUMM
NUMM is a basement club on Shibuya's east side, built around sound quality rather than scale. The booth is analog-first, in the Bozak/UREI lineage, feeding a custom five-way system in a room treated with wood diffusion rather than flat absorption.
The result is a club that is loud without being punishing, and detailed enough that programming leans toward music that rewards listening: house, disco, dub, soul and jazz, often in long-form sets rather than short guest slots. Nights are frequent and vary widely in start time — some open as early as 16:00 for daytime sessions, others at 22:00 or later.
If your interest is the record and the room rather than the queue, this is the Shibuya club to know.
