Open since 1997, HARLEM is Shibuya's landmark hip-hop and R&B club, sitting in the Maruyamacho nightlife district. It's often called the "holy land" of hip-hop in Japan — a room that was central to the 1990s Shibuya scene and still draws an energetic, dance-focused crowd.

If you're after hip-hop, R&B and party classics rather than techno, HARLEM is the obvious first stop in Shibuya.
