What a Night at a Tokyo Club Costs

Door prices in Tokyo cluster tighter than newcomers expect. The figures below come from the door prices published across our own listings for the three weeks from 31 August 2026 — 256 nights, 328 stated prices.

The short answer

A useful rule: if you have ¥3,000 for the door and the same again for drinks, very little in Tokyo is closed to you.

What moves the price

The night of the week. Weeknight parties at the same room routinely run ¥1,500 when a Saturday runs ¥3,500.

Who is playing. A visiting headliner is the single biggest factor. Anniversary parties — clubs here take them seriously, often running several nights — sit at the top of the range.

Advance vs. door. Many venues publish both, with advance typically ¥500–¥1,000 cheaper. If a night lists an advance price, it is worth buying ahead.

The drink charge. A door price written as ¥2,500 (1D) includes one drink. Where it says +1D the drink is extra. This is easy to misread, and it is the difference between the price you expected and the price you pay.

Where the cheaper nights are

Early parties — the ones opening at 15:00–19:00 rather than 23:00 — are consistently cheaper, and there are more of them than most visitors realise. Browse what's on tonight or this weekend and compare.

Prices here are what venues publish, not what we set, and they change. Check the venue's own page — every listing links to it. See also what time Tokyo clubs open and where the clubs actually are.
