Shozohin-ten (所蔵作品展) is a collection exhibition: a display assembled from works the museum already owns, rehung periodically rather than borrowed in for a single run. The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo calls its version the MOMAT Collection.

It is the most undervalued ticket in Tokyo. Admission is typically a fraction of a special exhibition's, the rooms are far less crowded, and because the hang rotates every few months a return visit shows different work. For a museum with deep holdings — MOMAT holds thousands of pieces, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo around 6,100 — the collection show is where its actual character is visible.

Some museums include it with a special-exhibition ticket; others sell it separately and cheaply. Worth checking, because it's often the better hour.
